Straight Razor of the day

So how many of you guys in the Cadre actually use a straight razor?

I’m in the long road to 1000 open blade shaves, so I go in spurts of usage. Usually 50 open blade shaves in a row followed by a break for the next 50, using DEs and SEs instead, then flipping back. Breaks things up a bit and that way all my cool other razors get used too

I’m sitting in just over 5000 Straight razor shaves. I use a Str8’s the majority of the time, but like @GearNoir , I like to use some of my other stuff as well.

I used to, full time. But since starting to shave in the shower, I've shelved them in favor of DEs again. Shower shaving is not the place for a fully exposed, literally razor-sharp hunk of metal.

Beautiful hefty razor for today's shave. 3 smooth and crisp passes for a bbs-dfs finish...

You have quite the collection. I’m not a shower shaver. Just prefer the sink

I’ve heard Arko has a very off putting scent. What’s your take

I've got a damaged sniffer (parosmia) so I rarely get much scent from it. When I do it's a synthetic lemon soap scent that I kind of like. I've been using it exclusively for quite a while with no plans to change.

Beautiful (diamond balsa) edge from this excellent razor! Stroped on the roo leather, and enjoyed a great 3 pass shave for a bbs finish...It is nice to have the option of a natural stone or diamond balsa finish on various razors...
