What a beautiful scale design. They appear to be ivory(color, thinness, shading), but with a washer construction as opposed to washerless which is traditional. Perhaps the scales were transplanted, because the wedge pin has the washerless design? Either way a beauty!

Thanks…yes the scales are pre 1900 Elephant ivory and are supposed to be original. It was the scale design which prompted me to purchase this razor.
