Straight Razor of the day

These are fun to see.
I have wanted to jump into the single blade realm.
Curious about what suggestions you have for a shavette or a cheap straight to get started.

Shavettes are less forgiving than a straight. But if you master it, a straight is a breeze. Several guys around here like the Feather shavettes. Some go with the vintage Weck. I started with an inexpensive Personna shavette.

The Feather AC shavette experience was nothing but delightful. I know some folks find it less forgiving than a regular SR still, but I did not feel that way (and I only ever used Feather Pros). Took to it like a fish does water; I had about 30 or a little more SR shaves under my belt by the time I got it, so that might have helped, but I dare say one could start with the Feather SS and be totally fine.
