Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning! Returned to my vintage Williams shave soap. No scent but an incredibly slick and cushioning lather built with the Sorrentino Brushworks synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Floris "Santal" aftershave lotion & CBL Premium Barber Powder.

BBS bliss!!

• Bowl: Doug Smith Pottery – Ceramic Shave Bowl

This shave soap is pure Peppermint essential oil from Yakima Valley in Washington State. Michelle notes that it is “a very pure, clean mint scent. Cold and refreshing, but not face-freezing!” Thank God for that. As I’ve written before, sometimes I’m after the scent of mint and not so much after the menthol.

Prospect Creek is like a cup of hot peppermint tea. For me, the most potent brand of peppermint tea is Mlesna/Metropolitan Tea Co. (their office is located just outside of Toronto, but you can order on amazon, etc.). My hope someday is to find myself in Boulder, Colorado at the Celestial Seasonings Factory where they allow you a tour with a stop in the “Mint Room.” Until then, I have Prospect Creek to enjoy.

1 day of growth with the Henson AL-13+. A nice comfortable shave. An eighth tsp of soap built enough lather for 5 or 6 passes. Slick, cushiony, and smelled wonderful. Great cooling affect without any added menthol... just what was in the preshave.

Oh la la this Frosted Bay Rum…….the scent is absolutely GORGEOUS. IMHO it’s the most brilliant bay rum I’ve ever had - the soap is a tallow based with magnificent lather that’s so thick, rich, super slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation is really strong, and it’s so gentle on my sensitive skin. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt so cooling and soothing, not to mention how frigid the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave felt - its delightful scent lasts for most of the day. Another wonderful three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

Ahhhhhh there’s nothing like the full Tabac experience from head to toe - the scent of this stuff is so delightful, (to me but not to my wife!) the bath soap not only left me squeaky clean it’s like washing with a block of moisturizing lotion, the shaving soap lathered like a maniac, this is the original tallow formula so it gave me such great blade glide because of the slickness, and it delivered a soothing, comfortable post-shave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer wasn’t really necessary but I’m a creature of habit so I used it anyway. The Tabac deodorant spray has the same awesome scent as the bath and shaving soaps. Last but not least the Tabac aftershave went on with a bit of a sting but then it felt great - not to mention how long the scent lasts - I LOVE it. Three glorious passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max!

I love the KENT Luxury Soap – a good alternative to MWF sans the Lanolin

Phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's wonderful "Fougère" shave soap, splash & EdP. Fantastic sharp, green, spicy scent with incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching skin food splash, CBL Premium Barber Powder, & the matching EdP.

BBS bliss!!
