Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Setting the bar pretty high for the rest of the week with today's shave. Returned to Phoenix Shaving and their Skin Bracer homage, "Shave Chaser". Spot-on reproduction of the scent with incredible lather built with the vintage Ever-Ready badger brush for three passes with the 40's Gillette Aristocrat and I finished with alum, Mennen "Skin Bracer" aftershave lotion, vintage Mennen talc and Phoenix Shaving "Shave Chaser" EdP.

Great shave this morning. Returned to Stirling Soap Co. and their excellent "Bay Rum" shave soap. Wonderful lather built with the Wild West Brushworks synth for three passes with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with alum, Quinn's Pink Grapefruit and Orange Rind witch hazel, Clubman "Virgin Island Bay Rum" aftershave lotion and Ogallala "Special Reserve Bay Rum" cologne..

Schick Repeating Razor made in 1926-1927. These razors are the precursors to the injector razors and were made from 1926 - 1940. The key features of this razor was that they used a blade magazine and a repeater to load and reload blades. This simple but revolutionary, at the time, improvement to safety razors allowed users to never have to touch the blade reducing the chance of cutting your fingers to zero as long as the loader worked correctly. This one comes with the original box and instruction papers.

Tried the blades that where in it. Not perfect. Tried stropping the blade . That kinda did the trick. Tiny bit tuggy, but works. Actually managed a BBS shave out of those old blades. Using the only puck of vintage Williams I have. Do have 2 pucks of modern Williams too. But vintage is a little bit slicker in my opinion. Even used an old Rubberset brush my brother-in-law got me. Aqua Velva aftershave and Witchhazel and talc to polish shave off.
