The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #395 Two-band Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the JiFULI Double Edge Razor and the JiFULI Platinum Edge DE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

As I’ve said before many times in the past this Absolute Zero soap and aftershave are definitely the two COLDEST products on the market. The scent is a very nice aquatic/minty mixture, the soap is vegan based because in India where this stuff is made the use of tallow is prohibited due to the country’s religious laws. The soap lathers so easily, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is so intense that it feels borderline painful, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The matching toner is extremely moisturizing as well as soothing along with a MONSTROUS menthol hit, and the Snake Bite aftershave can freeze your face to smithereens. Finally the Hugo Boss fragrance which I guess is nice (my wife loves it) and I’m ready to enjoy the weekend. Another wonderful three pass BBS shave that such a frigid pleasure!

FFFMM - FIXED FOUR FOR MARCH MADNESS 2026

DAY 7 – Two Pass & Some Jawline Clean Up
Edge was stropped a bit right before the shave
Dried down to damn near a BBS – even my neck was good
Trying some different lathering methods as we progress
Went in with an almost dry brush today and just skimmed the top

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave today! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's phenomenal "Indochanté" shave soap and splash. An incredible incense / floral / sandalwood scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Simpson badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel & the matching skin food splash. Again, zero feedback from the alum.

BBS bliss!!

Gonna have to get the knot replaced in this brush. Waaaaay too floppy and almost no backbone. Simpson has come a long way down. :mad:

Today I had the urge to smell the Shulton Old Spice scent that I love so much and since I can’t find my bowl and two refill backup pucks I went with something that’s such a perfect substitute. Will really nailed it with this Spice soap - the scent is EXACTLY like the Shulton one - not only that, the lather is sumptuous, the slickness is awesome, and the postshave feeling is wonderful. After I finished shaving I rubbed the leftover lather from the brush into my face so I could enjoy that delightful scent some more and then I rinsed it off with cold water. The Lubriderm moisturizer felt so soothing, and the Stirling Spice fragrance can also win a top prize for matching the Shulton Old Spice. Three slow, enjoyable passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave - wowwwwwwww!!!!!!!
