SOTD: March 2026

I am behind in posting. I am just going to post the end of February and the beginning of March in 1 post. Of course abbreviated

Joe's soap base is always so good. I whipped up a beautiful lather in my HC&C bowl with the PAA Atomic Rocket. I gave me terrific protection and glide. Very slick.i had 24 hours of growth, which was easily handled by the Yates Merica with the Accuforge blade.

I normally shave every 2-3 days. However, we went to a reunion get together with my college fraternity chapter alumni, so I shaved today, 2/27, as I won't have time on Saturday 2/28. Ariana and Evans shave cream is awesome. It takes a fair amount of water and whips up a rich, creamy, thick lather. Great performance from this lather.

Great shave this afternoon. It was very relaxing after taking the dog on a 2.5 mile walk. 2 days of growth removed with the Yates Merica and a 3rd use Accuforge blade.

A little more than half a day of growth. I used minimal pressure to engage the head of the Proof Benchmark and got a BBS shave.

A string of awesome shaves my Lantsman!

Jeff

Tuesday morning:

Hot shower
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 6
Palmolive Classic SC (the tube is finished!)
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Brut Attraction Totale AS Splash

After receiving this Palmolive Classic cream from a good friend of mine in Sweden around fifteen years ago I finally finished it off today. I always enjoyed its clean, soapy scent, it’s such a pleasure to lather, and it leaves my skin feeling great. The Lubriderm moisturizer is perfect to use as a balm and the Attraction Totale aftershave from Brut smells really nice - even my wife said so. Three passes gave me a super duper BBS shave that was fun filled!

Wishing you all a good day - be well and stay safe!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Incredible shave with which to kick off the workweek! Returned to my vintage Shulton "Old Spice" suite of products. Classic "Old School" scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Semogue SOC boar brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave lotion, talc, & EdC. Again, zero feedback from the alum.

BBS & Old School bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)

Shulton / Semogue / Karve / Gillette / Thayers

Great shaves Lantzman!! Chag Purim Sameach!

Menthol Monday’s Heavenly Grand Freeze:

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 5
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen Witch Hazel

Guys, look out because this setup is lethal and I mean LETHAL. The Glacial Wintergreen stuff (to me) smells delightful, the soap is such a pleasure to lather, its tallow formula gives it such great slickness, it’s so frigid, and it leaves my skin feeling so well moisturized as well as soothed. The matching balm and witch hazel are two other menthol atom bombs with the same lovely scent as the soap and lots of skincare. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was sheer enjoyment!

Wishing you all a good week ahead - be well and stay safe!

Beautiful shave, Lantzman! I have a tube of Palmolive Classico in the red tube and a mentholated one in a green tube. Both are great.
