Let’s see now……

Ikar Ocean shaving cream

For sensitive skin

I can read Bulgarian, and I understand it, and I can converse in it decently because it’s related to Russian which is a language I speak, read and write perfectly. I grew up speaking Russian as well as:

Hebrew (my first language)
Arabic (6 dialects with native fluency)
Ukrainian
Polish
German
French
English

I’m also fluent in:

Romanian
Hungarian
Greek
Turkish
Swahili
Lingala

I also speak some Afrikaans and Amharic.

I hope you put all that knowledge to good use in your career. That is a very impressive list. Does your wife speak many different languages too?

Before I retired I travelled a lot to Europe on business so I was speaking German and Russian all the time. I use those languages every day. My wife is Israeli of Moroccan origin - she speaks Hebrew and French perfectly as well as some Moroccan Arabic. She understands English very well but she has a hard time speaking it although she’s made progress in the last few years. She can read and write English well - when we first met her knowledge of English was practically zero. Now she speaks it to a good B level and she takes advantage of every opportunity to use it. My parents of dearly loved and cherished memory were multilingual, especially my Dad.

Great looking shave. That's a good l'il brush. I have it in yellow. Thanks for your post.
An Amazon buy - you ordered and got whatever color they shipped - now this may be heresy for some but I feel that synthetic brushes need breaking in - and this one definitely has softened and improved over time. Always produces a fine three pass lather and more and then dries down in about an hour or so.

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another Phenomenal shave this morning! Felt as if I was a little overly critical the last time I used it, so I decided to give PAA's Florida Water homage, "Agua Dulce" another shot. Taking this for what it is, an "inspired by, but original take on" FW, it really is a great scent. The spirit of FW is there, but it's its own creation. It's actually closer to the NY version than the Peru. Incredible lather from the CK-6 base built with the KenSurfs synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, M&L Florida Water splash (NY), CBL Premium Barber Powder and more M&L Florida Water (Peru).

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)

Warm shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 6
De Vergulde Hand SS
De Vergulde Hand ASB
Viktor&Rolf Spice Bomb EdT

As I’ve said before many times this De Vergulde Hand soap is the OLDEST on Planet Earth. It’s been around for well over 450 years so obviously the company knows what it’s doing. The scent is so old school European the way I love it, although it’s not tallow based it gives fabulous lather so easily, and it’s pretty damned good in the skincare department. The matching balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing, and it has a bit of a menthol sensation. Finally the gorgeous Spice Bomb fragrance and everything’s under control. Three passes did the job for me - a wonderful BBS shave with no issues whatsoever!

Wishing you all a great day - be well and stay safe!

I only speak English. I was attempting to learn some Hebrew with the app Duolingo, but it was not the best. I know a few words & phrases of Hebrew and Yiddish.

I think people from Europe and other countries outside the US are likely to know at least 2 languages.

It's my understanding that English as a second language is a requirement in grade school in many countries.

I agree, some synthetic brushes need broken in. I found this to be the case with my PAA Amber Aerolite and a custom handle i have with a G5C knot.
