Guten Morgen Leute,

(Good morning people!)

Morgendliche Rasur:

(Morning shave)

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 4
Gold Dachs Spezial SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme EdT

Every time I use a German shaving product strangely enough I start thinking in German! 😂😂😂 Seriously, this Gold Dachs Spezial is one of the NICEST and most elegant soaps from Germany that I ever used - the scent is so beautiful in an old school European way, I have a feeling that it’s vegan based but it lathers like a maniac, it’s really slick, and it gives a very soothing post-shave feeling that the Lubriderm moisturizer enhanced. Finally the lovely Yves Saint Laurent fragrance and I’m good to go. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was an absolute pleasure!

Allen einen wunderbaren Tag - passt auf euch auf!

(A wonderful day to you all - take care of yourselves!)

Notes: A quick 2 pass shave on 1 day of growth. The Palmolive cream from Italy built a quick, thick Cool Whip lather taking more water than I remember. This was a whisker reduction shave. I did not strive for BBS. Very satisfying non the less

Smoothness: ★★★★★ (BBS Perfection)
Irritation: ★☆☆☆☆ (Zero Burn)
Time of Day: Afternoon 🌤️

Wednesday morning: (yuck)

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 5
PAA Cold Spices SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
PAA Cold Spices AS Splash

I’m trying desperately to kill off this bloody Cold Spices soap so I loaded my Yaqi Barber Pole for around 40 seconds but there’s still some soap left in the tub although not enough for more than two more uses at the most. Anyway, although I did three passes I have to be honest - although I ended up BBS I didn’t enjoy this shave at all. The Cold Spices aftershave will also soon be finished - thank goodness.

I hope you guys have a great day - be well and stay safe!

Hang in there Akhi. The finish line… you’re almost there!

3 June, 2026

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Martin de Candre and their excellent "Nature" shave soap. A nice light, "soapy" scent with powdery highlights and a voluminous slick & cushioning lather built with the Sorrentino synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, vintage Avon "Bay Rum aftershave splash, CBL Premium Barber Powder & Murray & Lanman Florida Water.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
