SOTD and some misadventures in shaving. I opted for the Adopted Acres today, but needed some cooling agent to combat the heat. Added some menthol, but got distracted. I left the soap, did a few chores, came back and COMPLETELY FORGOT I added menthol. So I added menthol to the already mentholated lather. Not I've got 2 maybe 2 1/2 times the normal amount of menthol in the lather. Worked it into my face; and WOW! When I say it was frigid, I mean it was ARCTIC, Frozen Tundra type cold. Man it lasted a good 45 minutes after the shave with just a blast of chill. Lesson learned. Don't add the menthol until your READY to shave.
Some shavers may take your mistake and interpret it to themselves as a good idea πŸ’‘.

That sounds like a frozen glacial shave that @Yehuda D would love.

Todah, Akhi! It's a really nice soap. It takes a lot of water. This particular one is vegan or veggie. I think they are moving many of their soaps to tallow. I love the scent... Bergamot and Neroli. It was very inexpensive at the time that I purchased it... $10 US if memory serves me.

Tuesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #425 Synthetic
Pal Injecto-Matic
Vintage PAL Blade
CWR
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Brut After Shave

I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #425. I did two passes with the Pal Injecto-Matic razor with a Vintage PAL Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

Razor: Colonial Razors THE GENERAL SE
Blade: Schick Proline (5)

Shave Soap: RazoRock DON MARCO Bergamot Neroli

Post: Soap Commander COURAGE Aftershave Balm

A very smooth shave. I agree with 8th Night, the Bergamot Neroli scent is very nice.
Have a great shave everyone. 20260601_155807~2.jpg

Guten Morgen Leute,

(Good morning people!)

Morgendliche Rasur:

(Morning shave)

Cool shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 4
Gold Dachs Spezial SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme EdT

Every time I use a German shaving product strangely enough I start thinking in German! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Seriously, this Gold Dachs Spezial is one of the NICEST and most elegant soaps from Germany that I ever used - the scent is so beautiful in an old school European way, I have a feeling that it’s vegan based but it lathers like a maniac, it’s really slick, and it gives a very soothing post-shave feeling that the Lubriderm moisturizer enhanced. Finally the lovely Yves Saint Laurent fragrance and I’m good to go. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was an absolute pleasure!

Allen einen wunderbaren Tag - passt auf euch auf!

(A wonderful day to you all - take care of yourselves!)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Phenomenally enjoyable shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's excellent "Forest Dragon" shave soap and splash. Fantastic bright citrus open that morphs into a spicy, herbaceous green. Wonderful! An incredibly thick and slick lather built with the WWBW badger brush for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching skin food splash, CBL Premium Barber Powder & Paco Rabanne "Paco Rabanne Pour Homme" EdT.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
