Hello Cadre! Hope you're having a great weekend.

Wanted an old school scented shave today so I went back to Phoenix Shaving's "Sun Down". Three passes and I finished with the matching splash (+ skin food). Excellent!

A wonderfully lovely smelling soap the moment the lid is opened until even after the end of the shave...with the lather that's creamy and very slick...easily whipped up by the excellent brush...perfect combo!
A wonderfully enjoyable shave with this razor too...easy, smooth, and very comfortable. It is becoming clearer I prefer a heavier grind. 3passes for a ccs/sas finish without any issues. The aftershave kinda matches the soap...smelling great!!

Mix of old and new for today’s shave. First use of the Vector (first AC style or any non-cartridge SE for that matter). Don’t have the technique down yet (despite watching @BarberDave ‘s videos and seeing his technique). Find it hard to hold the razor with just two fingers, but I’ll keep at it. Got a very tuggy shave. But end result is very smooth with minimal irritation.

Also first use of PAA pre-shave “Tube (Cube)”. Seems to make everything a little slicker.

Clear winner of the day is the new brush, the Simpson Keyhole 4 in Best. I bought this brush over a year ago, but decided to use it for the first time today. This is very nice best grade hair, almost like Super badger in softness. Love the size/feel of the knot and the handle is very comfortable in hand.

Great shave today! Wonderful lather and scent from the PAA "High Jump 47" soap. Only two passes were needed today. Finished with the matching after shave and a spray of Eight & Bob "Original" EdP.
