The Nivea Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AliExpress Classic Adjustable razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Any colder than this would have been lethal - these Glacial soaps are not for the faint of heart, I can tell you that. Three passes gave me a helluva great BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

Some years ago this razor gave me the nastiest slice I’ve ever had with a razor. I put it away for a long time and have only used it sparingly ever since. But, not too worry, today was super smooth, super efficient. And the new Frosted Spearmint was definitely an unusual choice given the weather. It’s a new arrival so I wanted to try it out. I’d say it’s cool but not freezing. The after shave, on the other hand, is more in the freeze category.
