My first shave with the new Crabtree and Evelyn mixed badger and boar brush. It has a nice heft to it and a decent amount of skritch. It seems like the center of the brush is mostly boar and the outside is mostly badger. I can’t say I’m impressed with this vintage knot, but once the boar tips break in I’m sure it with be a great brush. I thought the fibers would be more mixed than boar surrounded by badger.

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Today's shave is the one to beat for the week! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's fantastic Creed Aventus homage, "Succès" suite of products. Great scent with an incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and the matching skin food splash & EdP.

Another effortless BBS shave!

The Dovo Runde Sache continues to be my one pass favorite
Edge was refreshed on the translucent ARK
Scots Pine Sheep is quickly becoming a favorite soap
Overall a very nice and comfortable DFS shave result

Blade: Original Edge – Translucent ARK Refresh
Lather: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep Sample

Is that an unfinished Olive Wood handle? Neat! I really like olive wood. I purchase several kitchen tools made of olive wood when we visited Montenegro last year and absolutely love the wood grain and how well they are holding up. I may have to hunt for one of these some day. :cool:
