Cold Water Rinse
Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap
Jayaruh #199 Synthetic
Supply SE MAX
Supply Black Label Injector
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Mennen Skin Bracer AS

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE MAX razor and the Supply Black Label Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Mennen Skin Bracer AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

A great start-of-the-workweek shave this morning. Returned to CBL Premium Shave Soap's excellent "Cigar Shop Hombre" shave soap. Fantastic scent with an incredible lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and Aficionado Fragrances' "Cigar Aficionado" aftershave lotion.

Another effortless BBS shave!

Hope you have a great day. :)

- Swapped to the NEW Short Comb after 3 great weeks with the 1934 Aristocrat. First time trying this Dorco prime blade and it’s good! This combo plus riding the cap a bit was very comfortable and left me DFS in one pass! Happy to see how this pairing will evolve. Hope people are able to take a moment to think about Dr King (find a recorded speech if you can!) and the meaning of his life on MLK Day.

Hey Dave: I'm curious about your brush. I bought a similar one - second hand - online and don't have a clue who made it or when. Would bet a nickel these might come from the same source.

Cheers!

Eric, @Smattayu sent me this photo 5 years ago when he made mine from a similar wood. I’d say whoever bought the second one from the left, sold it to you.

This one is mine:

January 19 SOTE Head and Face Shave

Good evening.

Definitely needed a shave! I am getting lazy. Lol! Anyway, I decided to make it a MicroMatic Monday shave. Two passes on face and Dome gave me an error-free very smooth and comfortable shave. I went with the shave cream instead of the soap version of 45th this time around. As an aside, I originally ordered the shave cream from Pasteur's Pharmacy, but they mistakenly sent the soap. I called them and they apologized and quickly sent out the shave cream and said to keep the soap at no charge. Great customer service. I have visited Pasteur's Pharmacy and Leon, the owner was great. Getting back to the Captain's Choice 45th Parallel shave cream, it really makes a rich, creamy and slick lather. See below:

Didn't have any alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and aftershave to finish this session. Decided to bin the blade because it has seen better shaves. Take care.

PS. I decided to grow my goatee back. I haven’t had one since before my traditional wetshaving days a little over 7 1/2 years ago.
