Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

A later than normal shave today, but the results were stellar! Returned to my Valobra-era AoS shave soap. Unscented other than just the base itself, but with an incredible lather built with the Envy Shave badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and vintage Yardley of London "Musk" aftershave lotion. Really like this AS. From a quick Google search, it seems it's from the late 70's. Definitely has that Yardley scent DNA.

Another effortless BBS shave!

Hope you have a great day. :)

Sunday morning:

Hot shower
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Crystal day 2
Williams Menthol SC
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

These Crystal blades are fantastic - they’re very sharp as well as smooth and forgiving. My Plissoft 26mm Monster is a helluva good brush - it’s been here for at least fifteen years when I bought it from Italian Barber here in Canada. The Williams Menthol cream smells so nice, just a small dab on both cheeks is enough to give fantastic lather that’s so slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation is not overwhelming but it’s still very much there, and the postshave feeling is so soothing. The Gold Bond moisturizer works great as a balm - there’s plenty of menthol to it also. Finally the Aqua Velva aftershave went on with a good, chilly kick. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

Wishing you all a nice Sunday - be well and stay safe!

Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap
Jayaruh #188 Synthetic
Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #188 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

A quick two pass shave today since yesterday's was relatively late. Returned to Soap Commander and their excellent "Fortitude" shave soap. Fantastic scent with an incredible lather built with the Wild West Brushworks badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and vintage Avon "Leather" aftershave lotion.

Another effortless BBS shave!

Hope you have a great day. :)
