Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

An adequate shave today. My Feather Artist Club razor arrived and I used it for the first time this morning. After reading some of comments about various blades, I got a pack of the KAI Captain Protouch blades (with the guard) to use with it. Not the greatest shave, but it's been ten years (or more) since I last used a straight. BBS results on my face, but still had some stubble left on my neck area. I also opted for a sink shave instead of my normal shower shave as I assumed (and rightly so) this shave session would take a little longer than with a DE. For lather I chose an old reliable in C.O. Bigelow. Nice slick and cushioning lather built with the Simpson "Polo" PL-10 Best Badger brush. Three passes and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Pinaud "Clubman" aftershave lotion and talc. Opted to go with the Floris "No.89" EdT again because I haven't used it in a long time and it's such a timeless fragrance.

Hope you have a great day. :)

That is a superb Polo brush and that best badger hair truly is a gem.
Current batches of best badger hair are very sub par or even bad.

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Returned to Grooming Dept. and their excellent "Incense & Oud" shave soap. Wonderful scent and lather built with the Paladin "Falstaff" 2-Band Select Badger Brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '56 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by Ariana & Evans "Incense & Oud" aftershave splash & Comme des Garcons "Avignon" EdT.

Hope you have a great day. :)
