SOTD April 2026

Thursday morning:

Hot shower
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 5
Lea Menthol SC
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Floid Vigoroso AS Splash

Although I’ve primarily switched to soaps since quite a long time there are still some creams that I still enjoy using from time to time and the Lea Menthol is one of them. It’s one of Spain’s finest, its scent is awesome, just a small dab on both cheeks is enough for great lather that’s so thick, rich, slick and protective, the menthol sensation is not overwhelming but it’s still plenty icy, and its post-shave feeling is so comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me lots of extra cooling soothing, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave is another Spanish treasure - it smells delightful and it gives a whopper of a menthol kick. Three passes gave me a terrific BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

Enjoy your day and your shaves - be well and stay safe!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another wonderful shave this morning! Returned to Adopted Acres Soap Co. and their excellent "Lime on the Line" shave soap & splash. Fantastic scent with great lather built with the S. Tinker synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash & Creed "Himalaya" EdP.

Hope you have a great day. :)

Today i made a Frankensoap mixing Razorock Don Marco & Stirling Lime. Had a great lather that smelled very citrusy. The AL-13++ easily cleared 2 days of growth. A great shave for a spring day. BBS finish.

My wife’s not allergic to any scents - she just thinks that Tabac smells too “old geezer.” In fact she kind of wishes that I would start shaving with either disposable razors or cartridges and either Edge, Gillette Fusion gel or these fancy shmancy creams that cost a fortune. But she’s such a beautiful, sweet angel and she “tolerates” my traditional wet shaving hobby because she really adores me! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

You are very lucky. Baruch HaShem!

My wife wishes I'd go back to the electric razor and not caring so much about how my face looks. She like the stubble and when I grow a beard. I have not had a beard in a few years, just the goatee.

My wife also thinks those of us in this hobby are mishuga.

A great shave, Lantzman! Sometimes creams are just so easy to lather compared to soaps. I have only a few creams. I get great shave with them too.

Awesome shave Lantzman! The Al13 ++ is a very good razor! If I use it daily I have to be careful, particularly in the throat are as that's where I'm prone to irritation.
