Personally I prefer the lather quality and post shave feel of the old soaps but the new ones are very good in their own right. A lot easier to load with the newer soaps, for sure. Scent strength is about the same.
You matched it perfectly with the aftershave and cologne! A great match!

Soap qualities are really good! Nice scent with good strength, rich creamy and quite slick lather...enjoyed this!
Shave with razor paired with this famous blade was surprisingly just passable. It was not as smooth comfortable nor crisp in 3passes but without issues for a bbs/dfs finish.

Rummaging through my shave cabinet again and ran across this Pal razor. British made and aluminum, I didn't hold out high hopes that the shave would be anything special. Well, was I ever wrong! This is a really delightful, lightweight shaver that worked ever so well for me. The Burma Shave boar is nicely broken in and does a fine job building up a nice lather. The Viking "Citron" SS is a really fine product too. Not much left so I think I'll just keep using it till it's gone. Might take a couple three weeks but that's ok. Like I said, nice soap. So, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

Great shave today! The Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Ribeira cream is fantastic. Not much scent and what scent there is is on the medicinal side but the lather quality and performance more than make up for any olfactory shortcomings. Finished with a splash of Williams Aqua Velva (plus skin food) and a spray of Versace Pour Homme. Another great summer frag. A little goes a long way. An EdT with EdP strength!

Very aromatic direct cigarish scent from the soap! No sweetness at all... lather performance acceptable...
Shave with this excellent adjustable vintage razor @set 9 paired with this blade which I thought not so good turns out to be enjoyable, smooth, and comfortable in 3passes for a mostly bbs finish but with a micro weeper. It's always interesting how blades behave in different razors or conditions. Aftershaves were very nice.
