Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Not a great shave today. My lather game was off. I've used the Victory soaps in the past with great results. Today, however, the lather was light and airy no matter what I tried to do. Face lather? No go... Bowl lather? Nope... So I limited my shave to just two passes in order to avoid irritation. Got much more feedback from the alum block afterward. Finished with some soothing Proraso balm and a spray a YSL "La Nuit De L'Homme".
Not the best start to the day.

I have only used one of the 'New' blades, but this one clearly did not have quite the durability of the P74 or Light Brigade, giving me 20 smooth, easy shaves rather than their 24. But an excellent blade nonetheless. The tobacco soap is getting toward its end, so I'll need to order some more soaps from Manuel. I have completely given up on the idea of using up all my soaps and creams before I die, so I may as well buy what I like and enjoy it while I can.

Good soap this. Obvious coconut scent but no sandalwood. The lather was thickly creamy and slick....very nice!
Shave with razor paired with the blade+shim was very smooth and comfortable at setting 9 for 3passes without any issues and a mostly bbs finish. Excellent aftershaves capped off an enjoyable weekend session.

Calvin Klein Eternity aftershave
The Bonded razor was easy to use, although it requires a different angle of attack. Because of its extremely light weight, which makes it feel like a disposable, I found myself exerting more pressure than usual, which resulted in one slight nick. It was very smooth, but with no auditory feedback at all. After 3 passes, the end result was a BBS shave pretty much the equal of what I get with my double edge razors. The aftershave is quite soothing and has a nice juniper berry note that complemented the soap's bright fern scent quite well.

Good afternoon Cadre (by my clock)! Hope you're having a great weekend.
Holy shnikes I feel bad today! Got COVID shot no. 2 yesterday and today I'm feeling like I had been wrapped in a sleeping bag and the beaten with a baseball bat.
This is really pushing my signature statement. On top of that, we have a live show tonight in Tennessee. Gotta find some way to get through it because the show must go on. Don't know how good my contribution will be tonight, but I'm gonna give it my best.
It was a good shave today, though. Great in fact! Total "180" from yesterday's shave. Three passes of BBS shaving bliss. New brush and it was fantastic. Love those Plisson-style synthetic knots.
