Show us your stable of shave brushes...

7B946438-D5C9-4025-ADC6-2B5C2CB2029C.jpegWell, here’s my stable… it’s pretty full, too full to see them all. I’ve broken them out by maker/category in previous threads. But I’ve also added some since then, including 3 new Halloween Paladins.

This also doesn’t count the drawer of vintage handles ready for re-store/re-knot, or my vintage handles on display in my shave museum.

It’s hard to get all these on camera but here’s the state of things at this very moment.

So guys, what’s the right number? Please…
Don't ask me, I just ordered 2 from Sorrentino Brushworks plus I just got one the other day too. I still don't have as many as those who have posted in this thread, but I really like the ones I have for different reasons.

Actually, I suppose the answer is 1. You don't "need" more than 1, but there is no joy in that.

I think all of us probably have a different number at different times. When i first started I used the same 1 brush for about the first 4 years of wet shaving. In the second 4 years I probably bought 4 new brushes, and in the past year and a half I have gotten about 8 new brushes. It seams to be escalating.

Ok, I broke it all down so you can see everything (*almost).

So that’s puts me at 64 brushes actively in my den (although, there’s a couple I couldn’t find, so at least a couple more). Here’s the stable put back together.

Here’s the drawer of project handles….. (I may get to them after I retire)

And the shelf of brushes in my museum.

And there’s still several brushes that didn’t make it into the pics!
