Shedding Boar Brush

So I totally forgot to come back here and leave an update. I emailed Stirling and explained what was going on. I got a very timely response from Rod. He told me that they will actually comb out their badger and synthetic knots before they box them up so they can eliminate as many loose hairs as possible. They do not do this with the boar knots because of how brittle the hairs are when dry (which a few of you guys mentioned to me in my post complaining about this brush). He said it should stop shedding after about 12 uses give or take, but occasionally you'll get a bad knot, and if it still persisted to let him know right away so he could make it right. Well I guess his email scared the knot into shape because it lost one hair over the last 2 uses! So I guess I just wasn't patient enough with it, but now it's performing great and not shedding.

So not only is the brush now a total winner, but had it not been Rod was willing to make things right. Great customer service, and I’ll be a loyal returning customer!

Excellent news SCF! Glad it finally shaped up for you.... Boars really are fantastic once they break in and the ends start splitting.... Seriously, softer in the tips than badger..... I really don't use boars enough, but always love them when I do.

Thanks KJ! I know it's probably not even close to breaking in as far as the tips are concerned, but it already gets me a great lather. Even when it was shedding like crazy, it was performing great otherwise.
