Rock icon Jeff Beck dead at 78
Jeff Beck, rock "guitar master" from the Yardbirds who recently collaborated with Johnny Depp on his final album "18," died Tuesday of meningitis. He was 78.

Damn! That is sad.
I saw Jeff Beck perform in Boston years ago, about 1974 or '75. John McGlaughlin (with a small band, not the Orchestra) opened the show. It was an evening of big-time guitar licks, that's for sure.
