The Process-
Late morning shave today, what? ... what?! That's right friends and neighbors. I lost track of time this morning and had to wait until lunch to shave. Ewwww ... but it's all good with this work at home thing. Thought I would stick with Stirling another day and grabbed Baker Street. I never did get to try the set from the original vendor, but I do like the scent. The last few days the Zenith has surprised me. The knot has relaxed quite a bit and has stopped shedding, so maybe it's finally broken in. So with that, I grabbed the Stirling Boar. The Stirling does a bang up job and has seen a lot of usage lately. Went with a typical 30 second load time and whipped up a nice lather. Not as thick as some Stirling lathers, but nice none the less. Did I mention that I dig the scent?

40 laps on leather and it was time for business. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A very nice shave indeed, I really enjoyed that and I am BBS for the win! I still haven't hit this razor on balsa yet. I have just been plugging along with the leather and the edge has held up really well. At some point, I will hit it on the balsa and then probably change out razors.

Wrapped everything up with a bit of a post shave lather while I cleaned the shave gear. For whatever reason, this soap doesn't lather as much as the other Stirling sets, so the post shave lather was a bit thin. But still manageable. Then a quick rinse and pat dry. A glug of the AS and everything was right as rain! Indeed it was! What else can I tell ya? That was a very nice shave and I smell great. Life is good!

Home Front-
Got stain and poly on on all the shelves. Will need a light sanding and then another poly layer. Hopefully they are dry enough for me to do that after work. I think I also have a light fixture to replace and who knows what else. I think that's all I have at the moment. Be careful out there.

Hey CV-19 thing has messed up my “natural shave clock”. I too have shaved at noon...oh well it’s odd but get it in when you can!

I love the scent of Baker Street. I wish I would have gotten the splash instead of the balm, but the scent is still great! Nice post Tim!

Stirling getting a lot of love in TSC lately! Good stuff!

About how many shaves do you currently have on that edge since the last refresh?

The Process-
Another late morning shave. I decided to set the alarm an hour later than my normal schedule and it was glorious. Once I awoke, I read various news sources and enjoyed my coffee way too long. So here we are with a late morning shave. Thank goodness for the "stay at home" thing when you might miss a morning shave. Anyway, decided to grab the Sangre de Drago today and take it for a spin. It is a sample, but a large sample so I have been able to enjoy it many times. Went with the DSC today for a nice messy shave. Added a bit of the sample to the copper bowl and got to it. I whipped up a really nice lather, adding water as I went. And I had plenty I tell you. I really dig this brush, it has bloomed out rather large and makes quick work of lathering.

40 laps on leather and it was down to business. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. That was a nice smooth shave. I had a ton of lather going and the razor made quick work of it. Today I scored a DFS+ for the win! I had a bit of trouble in the normal problem areas, but don't know if that was me or the razor. I'll take the heat on that one and it was still good. Wrapped everything up with a bit of a post shave lather while I cleaned the shave gear. Then a quick rinse and pat dry. No AS today and everything was right as rain! Yup, you read that right. I don't have anything that matches or is close, so I just wrapped it up there. It was all good though, it gave me a few more minutes to enjoy the scent. And the post shave feel with just a soap only was very nice. These artisan soaps have so many skin food ingredients, it's hard to go wrong. Life is good!

Home Front-
Planned on being in a Zoom meeting tonight, but an emergency outage at work will have me working instead. That sucks. Got kinda lazy last night and just chilled, so no progress on the shelves. Hopefully I'll get the poly finished up tonight, depending on the outage. A few other things to work on, but those will wait until the weekend. Be safe out there.

Chill day! Bummer about the emergency call in though...we won’t tell if your phone happens to accidentally connect to the Zoom call on it’s own though. 🤫
