The Process-
Early morning shave and starting the week off strong. Switched up all the gear and we'll see if I run it all week. Thought I would give the synth another go and I like this brush. It's obviously different and I'm not sure how to describe the feel ... uh maybe synthetic. Anyway, started with a damp brush and whipped up a ton of lather. Had enough for three passes and a post shave lather. I have knocked a pretty decent size hole in this thing now and it's about the size of a half dollar. That's a coin for you younger folk.

40 laps on leather this morning. Went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. I wasn't sure if I would have time for an SR, but I did it any way. A very nice, relaxing shave and I am BBS for the win! Oh yeah ... starting this week off right.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and dry. Splash of the witch hazel and a healthy splash of the AS. Everything was right as rain! Yes, yes it was. Let's face it, a minimum requirement for GTB is at least a healthy splash. I am digging this mornings shave an will probably keep it until the end of the work week. Life is good!

Home Front-
The missus fell last night while feeding horses. Tromping through a muddy field that has been torn up from horses and cows is usually not fun. She was covered in mud when she got back to the house. I almost laughed, but I could tell that she was hurt. She twisted when she fell and has hurt her back and she even hurts to move. Got her a shower and in bed, but didn't have the heart to tell her it will probably hurt worse today. Couldn't stay home today and look after the missus, I had to go to work. Yet another crazy busy work week, with most of it occupied with onsite training. So three days of training, 4 days of work (somewhere in between) and one day off ... for the short week. Should be fun.

The Process-
Happy Hump Day! Picking them up and knocking them down ... hit the big 40 on the puck today. Early morning shave ... yup. I may or may not have been running just a tad behind schedule today. And with that, a DE got the nod. I did bump the adjustment up another notch, just to see how it behaved also. Normal lather routine of a 30 second load time with a slightly damp brush. Once again, it resulted in a really nice lather. I did find that I had a small chunk of soap buried in my brush and it fell out when face lathering. Hopefully the rest doesn't break apart too bad as it's winding down.

Went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. An easy peasy shave was the right call. It was an outstanding shave and I am BBS for the win! Man, I needed that relaxing shave this morning and it was a great way to start the day. Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and dry. Splash of the witch hazel then a glug of the AS. Everything was right as rain! For whatever reason, that menthol hit hard this morning ... nice and cold. GTB in the house! Life is good!

Home Front-
The missus is doing better, not 100% ... but better. She was up moving when I got home and had dinner on the table. You can tell she is still hurting, but it's hard to keep her down. Yesterday was a rough day for me. Woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep. Ending up working on a project, that I brought home from work, until shave time. By the end of the night, I was beat. It's a short week, so one more sleep and a wake up. Then my weekend starts. Lots to do in the next two days before I can rest, so.... It's a wet mess outside today. Y'all be careful out there.
