Ramblings of a MilkCrate

I definitely like the looks of that scuttle! Great shave with the SV Opuntia.
Thanks Don! The scuttle works well. Fill both cups with hot water. After the clay warms, dump the water out of the smaller cup. Leave the water in the larger cup and put the small cup into the larger one. It’s only big enough for a soapy brush. Very nice on a chilly morning.

The Process-
And the crap-nami that was 2020 keeps the hits coming. Friday night, got a call that my wife's eldest son was on the way to the hospital. At age 41 he was having a massive heart attack. When my wife called her daughter to tell her, we were told that she received a call before ours and she tested positive for COVID. Good grief! As of yesterday, Deb's son was released from the hospital after treatment. (He survived and was able to be treated - thank you all for the prayers!) They are shoving people out the door at the hospitals because of the COVID cases. Today I got a text from my younger brother and he was on his way to the ER. He felt really bad last night and was having breathing issues today. 2021 is off to a rocky start.

Oh ... the shave. I haven't used the Three Ranners much, but it was my first SR purchase. A Swedish steel razor that was a sight unseen from WhippedDog. A nice hefty razor with hard steel. I kept my normal shave routine today and had an awesome shave. Oh ... almost forgot to mention that I used my new brush warming scuttle this morning and it works great. A nice toasty lather and everything was right with the world for a few brief moments. That’s all I got for you and yes ... Life is good!

Blah, Tim. Not a fun few days for you and your family at all. Hopefully the "Everything comes in three's" saying holds true here and you can look forward to better days.

Hope everyone is ok Tim. Sending good vibes your way.

Glad your step son is recovering Tim! Continuing prayers for your step daughter and brother!

Now you will know “all the scuttle-butt”
Tim.
I’m here all week folks....

Thanks gents ... and Fluffy :ROFLMAO:

Got word on my brother and he has strep. Have to wait 3 days on the Rona test. Thank you for the continued prayers and well wishes.

The Process-
TGITHMF! That’s right friends and neighbors, Thank Goodness It’s Thursday My Friday and I’m wrapping up my short week.

Quick note: I did have to make an adjustment on my shave count. I forgot to add the DE shave yesterday. I was running a bit behind again this morning, so I stayed with the Slim. I did change out the brush and went back to a boar though. It was also in the high 30’s this morning, so the scuttle got the nod as well. The boar worked well and delivered a warm lather, but the Badger from yesterday held more heat. Still all good.

I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report! A great shave and I am BBS for the win! Finished up with a rinse and splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! I’m going to miss this one, it’s a great scent. Life is good!

Home Front-
So my eldest stepson is at home and recovering from his heart attack. My brother got his COVID results and he is negative. He just needs to finish his antibiotics to clear up his strep (sp?). The stepdaughter is still feeling like hammered dog crap, but she is not hospitalized, so that’s good. I think that’s all I have today. Thanks everyone for the: prayers, positive energy, happy thoughts, well wishes, etc!

I am a victim of the postal service.

Graydog was kind enough to re-knot a brush for me. Yesterday it showed in Kaufman and “Out for Delivery”. It didn’t show, but I thought it would today. It didn’t show today either and it now shows delayed. The only history it’s now showing is when it left Ohio. So close. Grrrrrrrr.
