As testimony the importance of what you use to wash your face with before shaving was last night's shave. I was tired and had two day's growth. I selected a Schick M Model adj. with a "Chick" blade only used maybe two times before. I decided to break out the ol' Palmolive stick for soap. After a thorough 3 mins. + water wash I lathered up with a superb job and then..............slight tugginess. It was then I realized that in my stupor I had forgotten to use anything other than water to wash with and man what a difference!! I managed to finish, but it was definitely not a top tier DFS. FWIW, the setting mattered not, 3, 5 or 7.
