Post-cancer meds affect my body hair

I'll start with the fact that my breast cancer was caught early & I'm fine. But I am still taking anastrozole- an estrogen suppressant. It has an interesting-but not bad- side effect of reducing the hair growth on my legs. It seems to grow more slowly & sparsely. So much so that I can get surprisingly close shave with my electric shaver.

WOW, I don't know any ladies out there that can say they get a good shave from an electric shaver! All things considered, that's an acceptable benefit. Welcome to the forum @Sara-s! :)

WOW that's crazy! Mark that as a mixed win? My mom went with the eyebrow tattoos after hers refused to grow back after her breast cancer.

@Sara-s my mom survived the triple negative version of breast cancer and is now 8 years cancer free. Unfortunately, my aunt did not survive, but they both were fighting together and grew closer.

Ya, she finally went the tattoo route after drawing them on for years

Pleased to meet you Sara. It’s great to hear that you’re doing well. My wife and I are survivors. Cancer sucks. Hers was estrogen driven too. I believe she had anastrozole too, but switched to Tamoxifen due to side effects. She often has trouble tolerating meds. We’ve been cancer free since 2013 and 2014, respectively. Beating cancer is an achievement. Congratulations, and welcome to The Cadre. 👍
