Is hair putty different than pomade?

This is what I am using now but it is hard to find locally these days and I am not interested in internet shopping for it.

Just started using this...not too expensive. About $18 on Amazon and I think is really what you are looking for. It's a harder (but not hard) creamish texture that really holds but leaves hair looking very natural. I am really enjoying it.
