One soap scent for life

You have me every time you talk about this scent. I see it's available in a big bottle but hard to find the 100ml bottle. Got a source for the small that has it in stock ?

Nope...Big bottle is different. It's the Figaro Ambra. I haven't tried this yet...but is supposed to be more of an Italian barbershop scent. The Figaro Monsieur is different. If it's hard to get...I might have to put in an email over at a couple of places to see if they are going to get more. I am almost out of mine and I definitely don't want to be without!

There is an old saying "paradise forever isn't forever paradise" or too much of a good thing..... I worked at Dominos Pizza as a teen. They always a pizza or 2 in back for the employees. All the new guys wanted all the fancy pizzas, the ones with tons of toppings. The interesting thing was all the old timers mostly just wanted plain cheese or just pepperoni and cheese. I figure soap could be the same thing. Something heavy and complex would eventually become too much.

I have never been a scent guy. Now that is really hurting me as I'm not even sure what these individual scents smell like.

I've had two soaps to date that I really could use everyday, #1 would have been T+S Kyoto, but that was a one off (and I*m just finishing the end of that tub) so the runner up would be T+S West Indies (which seems to follow with a lot of other guys here, since I'd put in the spice category with a hint of bay rum.)

@dangerousdon is that figure similar to Floid Vigaroso, a contender for the GOAT of aftershaves?
To be honest...I couldn't tell you. I have never even sniffed Floid Vigaroso. There is also a blue version of the Figaro Aftershave. I'll look it up when I get home. All I know is that Figaro Monsieur is the aftershave to beat for me.

Check out Floid Vigaroso if you ever get a chance, I’m pretty sure you’ll find it to be in the same league as this. I’ll have to try the Figaro when I can, these types of AS are right down my alley.

So many recommendations here that I would have no part of, lol. Primarily lavender. Can’t stand it in a shaving product. Love the flowers and smelling them in my home though.

I agree that is should be a light, neutral scent. I have one called Made to Measure by Artisan Soap, it’s inspired by the Gucci scent of the same name. It’s a dead ringer a Tabula Rasa Soap I used to have called Light Cream. And that’s what it smells like, just light and creamy. That’s one I don’t think I could ever tire of.

Cole...so taking a look at the scents it looks like Floid Vigoroso is a mentholated aftershave that smells of sweet amber. The Figaro Monsieur has a lot more going on than that (Oud, vanilla, Tobacco, Sandalwood, Amber, etc). So this looks like it might be more in line with the Figaro Ambra, which is a light sweet amber with no menthol. There is also the Figaro Bluice, which is described as:
Head notes: Neroli and Peppermint

Heart Notes: Grapefruit, Vetiver and Cedar Wood

Base Notes: Laudano, Canforous Amber

I have only tried the Figaro Monsieur, so I can't attest to the others, but man does that Figaro Monsieur smell nice! It is also a great aftershave with lots of skin stuff in it.

Sorry John for taking over your thread.

I've used very few sandlewoods so it my not be fair to say but they all smell like a dirty beach to me.
The actual pure sandalwood essential oil smells really nice to me. Many of the products use synthetic sandalwood, which smells nothing like the real thing. Another nice option is cedarwood essential oil. I am also fond of bergamot, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon, spruce, patchouli, and vetiver essential oils. I actually like the combo of cedarwood and vetiver.
