One soap scent for life

I have been playing around with making soap, which has been fun. The issue is that a single batch would give me enough soap to last a year. This got me thinking, what is a scent I wouldn't mind being stuck with. It seems that some of the scents , while nice, would get old after awhile? Would a simple scent be too boring?

What are your thoughts?

Figaro's P.160 Tipo Morbido

Think Cella , but toned down in strength (much more subtle) and not near as sweet. Used my block for 23 months straight, so yeah, I was "stuck" in shaving heaven for a while.

Cella is an almond type scent...correct?

I’m not sure I could do a sandalwood forever but a spicy scent would work for me. I think the key would be to avoid the temptation to scent too heavily if it’s going to be a “forever...and ever” scent. A spicier sandalwood might cut it but something along the lines of a true bay rum would be intriguing. My favorite scent is “orange dirt” but I would think a better forever scent would be something more barbershop...rive gauche, or a blend of citrus, spice, oakmoss a d patchouli. OR the most obvious and easiest one scent to rule them all...LAVENDER. You can tweak lavender in all sorts of ways so Can blend the lavender scented soap you make today with other scents in the future if you decided to mix pucks or shred them and make sticks.

I don't know... I thought this about a few scents. After using them for a few shaves, I needed to switch.

Before finding traditional shaving, I only used canned barbasol. Theoretically, I could live with one scent again. I would probably also go back to shaving every 5 or so days, though.

If you had asked me 5+ years ago, I’d have said a good sandalwood as well. It’s still near the top of my list. I think vetiver is more versatile though. I’ll say a well executed vetiver could easily be my for-life soap scent.
Oooh yeah, I forgot about vetiver. A good vetiver in the right strength could be a good daily use scent. If nothing else I think a scent that included some hints of vetiver would be enjoyable.

A couple years ago I would have said Sandalwood. I was a huge sandalwood kind of guy...still am I guess. But I am into more complex scents now I guess. That being saidI think Chris is onto something with a spice in it. Whatever that means to you. If I have to pick RIGHT now a forever scent and I couldn't change it ever. I love my Figaro Monsieur aftershave splash! I LOVE the way it smells and probably would go with somethings along those lines: Tobacco Absolute, Oud Wood, Vanilla, Amber
