Well, this week sucks. Coming back to work normally does, but this one double sucks. We have some staff out that is adding to the back-logged issues and work. But @heysi will be happy to hear that yesterday and today included Cobb salads.

Well this has been a pretty good month for our hospital. First we had that major survey with the fewest number of findings of any of our hospitals. And today we had the announcement about our Nursing Magnet status. This was the thing a few months ago we had tons of interview sessions about. We were awarded Magnet status which about 10% of hospitals have, which we expected. But we were also awarded it with distinction which is a higher award that only 1% of Magnet hospitals have. On top of that, we're in the 1% of those 1% that got it with our initial award. Usually hospitals get Magnet status and mature into the "with distinction" status. Lots of cheering and a party today.

I hear that the door to Bougie's office was locked (with him on the inside) during these surveys so that he wouldn't adversely affect the hospitals grade.

"what's behind this door?'
Oh.....nothing. That's an old electrical room....no one goes in there or uses anything inside there....in fact...we don't have a key. Now this next area.......
"do I smell a cigar and a cobb salad?"
Nope....moving on.

You sweet talker

No, really! I saw it on TV. You wear them in your shoes and they are supposed to pull toxins out of your body through your skin. Apparently we don't need dialysis any more!
Inject some peptides while you’re wearing them and it will even treat the root cause of disease!

This was a tiring weekend. Took a quick drive down to Santa Barbera to check out the school for the youngest. While we think UC Davis would be a better choice in many ways, we told her the choice was hers and so it’s sun and beach for her. We got off lucky, she graduated high school last year and will be transferring in as a junior. So only 2 more years. Didn’t reach out to @GearNoir as we were in town less than 24hrs, but seeing as my money and he will be new neighbors, we’ll have to meet up on one of our trips!

Other cool news. This was the farthest I’ve driven a Tesla. Only stopped to charge once each way. And found some cool new features. The youngest connected her Bluetooth headphones in the back and watched a movie on the screen back there without disturbing the sound in the rest of the car. And the self driving keeps impressing me. Moving over in anticipation of cars joining the highway, waiting to move over to pass if there are faster cars coming up. I’m up to 98% of my driving being on self driving now.
