Lots of little stuff this weekend. We found out our 2nd cat also has hyperthyroidism when the other one is days away from getting the big work-up needed before her radiation therapy in a couple weeks. I asked if the place has a slot to maybe get them both done at the same time, but no open slots until January. So we starting up medication on one when we just finished needed to do it for the first. The same day my wife ran across a cute (aren't they all) husky at an adoption fair while getting cat food. The full-court press was on for us to bring it home. She cracked open the door to having a dog, but especially with cats at home, we can't just bring home a big dog when we're both at work all day. The tree that got chopped down is almost gone. Then I can slowly work on deforesting the rest of the back yard. There could be need to install a covered area for a pet and an outdoor relief area.

BTW....I worried one of these days the SOTD photo is going to include a bougie shower butt.

Please don't...

The youngest had the new boyfriend over for dinner last night. Not only over, but he made dinner for us and it was good. Not only that, but he actually talked, didn't seem like a putz and seemed to actually have a decent head on his shoulders. Not only that, but he was wearing an Omega. So I'm not totally opposed to her talking about changing her college plans in a manner that would coincidently keep her closer to home.

No picture today so you can imagine it any way you want...

I'm made a 1/4 of the way through this Nivea Deep bottle. I guess that's a win? Getting really tired of this scent in the morning. I did finally get on board with @BrisketGuy's idea of using one boar brush for November. We'll see how it goes, but I did realize I do own 2 boar brushes so had to pick the prettier of the two.

I fell I'm 95% recovered from the crud I had, but now my wife has a weak voice and congestion. I guess at least it's happening when we're not traveling. I need to get into gear related to house projects again. It was easy to let that drop off when our house became more livable. I still have to fill and paint the trim in the kitchen, and clean and reseal the counters. We have a guy coming in another week or so to replace one of our sliding screen doors and rescreen the other. Then I think I'm dealing with several painting tasks. The garage door needs some surface rust spots removed and painted. The font door needs sanding and painting. The wife decided she wants to change the colour so that adds a few steps. And the she wants all the indoor doors painted or replaced. As we're moving into the winter, it might be the indoor work that gets the attention.
