Sorrentino TSC Anniversary

Creed Bois Du Portugal

You may have noticed I switched from 2:1 to Deep. I figured I have this bottle from when I was experimenting with Nivea and should just use it up to get rid of it. Trouble is, it's mostly full, so it would be months at a 5 drops/day rate. So it's likely I'll just dump it at some point to move on. Also have a drawer full of scent samples that I need to start sifting through. Today was this Creed. I have to say I enjoy it with nice warm spice, wood, and a slight touch of oriental. I don't love it which I would have to for the price.

Cartier Noir Absolu

I find it interesting what our contractor decides to go into far too great of detail with and the things he just assumes would make sense or forgetting he told me something different. Just have to shake my head at this point. Should get home to all the appliances in place and working. Just going to be waiting on the tile guy "sometime next week" and after that it's installing the door pulls and final adjustments. If I can find a pan I might have eggs for breakfast tomorrow!

Grabbed another sample. The Noir Absolu I like and with a price half of the Creed, it goes on the maybe list.

Well jeesh, I forgot to put on a scent today. What's on the list from the last few days? Had a few people look at our furnace resulting in replacement of the motherboard and transformer for more than the price of a top flight computer. What sense does that make? I mean all it has to do is turn on the furnace when the thermostat says to. It's just an old one-stage thing. The appliances are all in place and we can use most of them. Getting the water and ice working on the fridge was a long story that might make its way to Drinks & Daves. Tile is being installed today and grouted Wednesday. Then in theory it's just final trim, cabinet handles, and final adjustment. Hopeful that will be done by the end of the week. I turned a unit in the garage into a cleaning supply storage with a mount for charging the vacuum, and a charging shelf for some other equipment. Plus a boat load of other tasks. Overall it was a decent weekend with more successes through the barriers.

Friday evening I got some mail that basically said there is a hearing Wednesday for my state family leave which was denied for my wife's surgery last Oct. Bonus is I got the notification *after* the deadline for me to send other documents for the hearing. I was able to upload them today. I had given up on this whole thing since I hadn't heard anything, basically since December of last year. Might as well give it one last shot.

Dude, I went through the phase of everyone in the family trying a DE. She lasted the shortest period of time with it.

Here....I solved your watch case issue....and it's a waterproof travel case so no more "same watch for the whole cruise" complaining.

Dude, I usually take three watches on a cruise. But thank you. If I feel like I need to switch watches mid-sunset catamaran sailing, this would be useful.

Tile was installed yesterday and we like how it goes with the cabinets and counter tops, but not really the colour of the existing wall in the dining area. Which means repainting that room and the kitchen is now on the to-do list.

I mentioned in my shave video how I'm going to be using some of the blade collection that's gone by the wayside. Yep, I much prefer a sharper blade.

Today is trash day for me too and I find myself being just as excited as Sam for these days. We have a build up of broken down boxes for recycling, a tree for slow yard waste removal, and packing materials I throw away as space allows. Every Wednesday morning some nice people come by and take away a container full of each one for me. But I do have to put them out the night before as they tend to be emptied before 6:30 in the morning.

Hey, plan ahead everyone. The big Doritos Shootout will be next Tuesday on Drinks & Daves!
