Here I am! As you saw, we were down south for the weekend and yesterday was an all-day off-site. Unfortunately I couldn't be sure I'd make it back for Drinks & Daves so had to put it off yet another week. But next week we should be having our widely anticipated gin tasting!

Ugh. So yesterday kinda ended on a sour note at work which I perseverated over even still. I'm sure that's what lead to my dream where I was so preoccupied that I shaved my goatee off the next morning. Luckily I still had the goatee when I woke, but it was a sign of things to come. I dug the blade in good this morning. Three times! Two needed a hit of styptic to get stopped. So far no other injuries today. Heading to watch a guitarist at a jazz club tonight. Then there is a conversion going on with our medical records system tonight which necessitates the system being down for what we're hoping to be 4 hours in the wee hours of the morning through our whole region. They tell me this is the biggest movement of data in the history of healthcare. All I know is I'm on-call tonight so there better not be anything going wrong!

Made it through the weekend without a work call! They said they had some issues, but it apparently didn't delay the system getting back up nor caused an error. So there ya go. Wife and I had further conversations about moving back to the house we own. We finally set a date that we can work backwards from with the first official step of telling the tenants to get out. Then we visited a flooring place to price out replacing the carpet and refinishing the hardwoods while the house is empty. The most exciting part about all this is the tentative go-ahead I have to turn the smallest bedroom into a cigar lounge. That will mean instead of carpets, hardwoods in that room as well. I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but mentally I'm already pulling the shelf out of the doorless closet in that room for my humidor to slide in.

Poor Stefan likely will be able to sleep in the cigar room. My plan is to put up shelving to keep the main scotch stock on the walls. I'll need security. One bummer is I got one of those wine dispensers where it chills, preserves, and dispenses a bottle of wine. Got it dirt cheap on FB Marketplace and couldn't get the darn thing to work. I thought it would be pretty cool to have scotch on tap in there!
