I have not seen even generic witch hazel at my local CVS for many months now. I’m wondering if it’s a general supply chain issue.

I assumed he meant sans kids 😂
I’m not sure… could it be waiters and waitresses wearing mouse ears and little else? 🤔 Pictures, or it didn’t happen!

Well during our show yesterday I was lementing that Thayer's Lemon is hard to find now. Rich commented that it's been discontinued. I went to the Thayer's site last night and sure enough, it's not there. I ordered two bottles at a little bit of a premium, but it will delay the day when I have to face the enevitable.

Had to go over to the in-laws because they had some guy doing a presentation about a new front door and I was there to make sure everything got asked I guess. Come to my surprise when I hear the thing will be 5-figures. Guy shows off the most complicated aluminum framing system and talks about argon gas in these little accent lights. Whatever I guess.

I should get me a shavette (again), but every time I look at buying a razor, brush, or soap, I look at what I already have and shelve the idea.

Yesterday was martini day. Glasses, picks, vermouth, and orange bitters were purchased. I mixed up a batch using Botanist gin. Which for some reason B Dave was trying to say Bombay should have been used despite evidence on Drinks & Daves to the contrary. Then I enjoyed several martinis with different treatments over the course of the cadre zoom call. Again, to Dave's chagrin for some reason. Putting ice cold martinis into a thermos ensured nice cold ones being poured for over an hour while out on the deck. I had the first one with a twist of lemon. The second with three cocktail onions. And the last with three blue cheese stuffed olives. Learning include, I think I like gin martinis more than vodka. More experimentation is needed, but from memory, a standard vodka didn't have enough flavor to make it worthwhile and a dirty vodka martini was better, but the brine flavor seemed a bit chewy without any subtlety. Next, the gin one with a twist was lovely, light, refreshing with a touch of sweetness. The onion one I missed the added brightness of the twist. The olive one, the olives didn't seem to match the notes of the drink. All in all, I was surprised that they all held their own against a cigar which I thought might be overpowering. And I'll need to evaluate without the distractions of a zoom call. But, for outside pairing with a cigar, my choices still are mixing a batch and using a thermos, or bringing out all the bottles and a bucket of ice, which might be more bougie and worthwhile when one has company, it seems like a pain for an evening smoke.
