New to TSC…..

Couple of very quick images....about to head out the door for a meeting with a customer.

The discoloration on the felt linings is oil from oiling down the blades/pivot pins (and sometimes it's still on the fingertips). Most of the blade 'blemishes' are from the oil as well (dust, reflections, etc.). None of the blades were wiped for these images.

One of the drawers with dividers (comes this way). Big enough for most 6/8.

Welcome Blair.

You may recognize my avatar. It was associated with another screen name. Sadly the name is the victim of an assassination.

I really liked the shave journals where individuals can write about stuff they like for others to tak or leave.

I found that I can read through another’s journal and get a small picture of who they are without the need to wade through enormous volumes of other information. It made me feel like I was getting to know someone.

Have fun, glad you are here.
Hey Bill! Nice to find you here! I'll have to think on the shave journal idea....the problem is time. I can barely keep up with my scatter brained approach to SOTD images/posts, and the other things I post/comment on from time to time.

Starting my 3rd year of wet shaving. 2019, 2020 was spent typical accumulation mode, too many soaps, creams, after shaves, EdTs, and of course, razors. Just finished a NB ‘21, which was a good thing. Realized I’ve way too much stuff, the software diminishes much slower than anticipated, even with 6-7 days of shaving a week.

Mostly an open edge shaver, have a nice balance of vintage and modern. SE and DE razors, of course, but I’ve been a little better controlled with those purchases.

Other tidbits…avid RUSH (the band) fan, equally for anything Peanuts related. Originally a city boy Cajun, moved to TX straight out of HS (and stayed).

Great to hear from you, Blair! Ya, about that NB '21...we need to talk, I suppose.
