That blade is NOT done. It was specially designed to shave around moles; it's a feature not a bug.

Don't tell any specialists, but I considered trying it with thin plexiglass, but wasn't sure if it would be too flexible.

I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to comment and say I have seen people make scales out of the transparent colored and other colored clip boards like are used in businesses and in schools before and they looked really good.. You can usually get multiple sets out of 1 clip board and they are usually pretty cheap .. They make the clip boards in some very interesting colors and patterns too BTW ....
