While we might not want to admit it, we have probably all gotten a soap at one time or another solely because of the label art. I wanted to start a thread for people to upload their favorite labels (regardless of what you think of the soap, its scent, or shave characteristics).

This is purely about visual enjoyment!

I’ll lead off with a few of my current favorites:

Tallow and Steel: Shikoku

And Barrister and Mann’s Hallows (it took me a year of looking at the label to see the skull and crossbones motif in the background and that subtle detail is why I’m including it here):

Here’s one that I bought purely on how the label looked. Didn’t care for the scent at first but it had grown on me. Now I use it quite often.

@Scuttlesoap I agree that some of the Gaelic art on the Murphy and McNeil labels can be pretty interesting and attractive. I like these two in particular:

Totally agree! I remember wanting Gael Laoch with the black label so badly- I had just started the hobby - but they had sold out and were using the B&W version. So I bought the mentholated one because it still came with the gold sugar skull. Which turns out was a good thing! Turned me into a menth head!

but even the B&W are so intricate and go splendidly with the Celtic themes!

Here’s another one that I got sold on because of the label. The quality of the label drew me to it more than the substance of the label. The detail and clarity is just nuts.

This is a great example of a label and a scent “matching” - classy label and scent that reminds me of a gent in a tuxedo or smoking jacket
