kamisori's

was perusing the cuththroat journey's kamisori thread and was watching handlebarberdave's video today and it got me thinking about kamisori's. I'm considering picking up one. what would you guys reccomend getting? thanks!

True kamisori razors have asymmetrical grinds make to be used in one hand or the other. I understand the term kamisori to be defined that way. Hence, there are folding kamisori razors around.

I’ve known numerous 2 hand shavers to use them and change hands. They say that all is needed is some adjustments in technique when switching hands.

I’ve always avoided them.

Kamisori style shavettes or symmetrical grind straights never appealed to me mostly for the need to have some sort of separate cover or guard.

I would highly suggest trying a Feather AC Kamisori. Best shaves yet. No honing. No stropping. No dealing with asymmetrical grind.
