James Webb Space Telescope

Worth. Every. Penny.

I marveled at the tech just to get the satellite out to its permanent location and the engineering of its shield.

So excited about the pictures it will send back and the knowledge we’ll gain!
 
I get really excited when new images come out form the Webb telescope. The detail is incredible when compared to Hubble.

Here's one of the latest. A nebula called the Pillars of Creation.

This is Hubble imagery of the Superbubble Complex, Emission Nebula. I can't wait to see this one from the eyes of the Webb.

Here's a quick glimpse into one difference between the mirrors on the two telescopes. The Hexagonal matrix of mirrors is why the stars in Webb's imagery have a six sided starburst (primarily). It also has some smaller lobes as well. Hubbel's starburst is primarily 4 sided. That's a quick way for you to tell the difference in imagery to know which telescope it came from
