It's all subjective. I have MdC and I enjoy it. From a cost perspective it cost 8x more than my cheapest soap. Is performance 8x better? Absolutely not.

Using Standard Deviation I would say that from a holistic perspective their is a large gap in terms of enjoyment between MdC and my cheapest soap (unnamed). With respect to others that I really like: MWF and Tabac, the gap narrows appreciably.

I see what you did there. But MdC is very long lasting.
The scents aren't as strong as they once were, but the performance, value and shelf stability is still there.
Face lathering with a Trafalgar T2 - a full size tub of MdC could easily last 2 years of daily shaves - likely more.
YMMV with badger or boar, or if you bowl lather.
