If you have to do something...

Sorry to hear the news Chris. Hang in there though, the right opportunity will come along in time. And like Tim said, you have the decisions made of what you are able to do to accept it when it presents itself.
Thanks Shawn!

So sad feelings on both ends, with a bit of shock for us, but we agreed that with that amount of unsureness, it was probably the right decision.

Sorry to hear all of this Chris. I wish there was something profound I could say to ease the disappointment. A few years from now it will all be evident why this was not meant to be and it will be crystal clear why God closed the door. It's just so hard when you go this far in the process and things look so positive. Rich Mullins said it best: "Your ways and You are just plain hard to get."

Keep plugging away Chris looking for those plans for a hope and a future!

Shave #289 (Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: RR .68 GC, Astra SP blade, RR Big Bruce synth brush, SS Citrus & Bay soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, and Bootlegger’s Bay Rum AS to finish!

Yep, it’s Wednesday.

Up early to get the kids to school, then back home to freshen up.

Seeing Dave’s Bay Rum shave reminded me I hadn’t pulled my own out for a while, so Sudsy Soapery Citrus & Bay with Bootlegger’s it was! Arrrrrr matey!

One more day to finish up my teaching, delivery to the Bible study tomorrow, then it’s back to searching for ministry positions!

Tonight is pizza night for the mid week programs on campus. Usually we end up having Costco pizza, whichused to be really good when they first started doing it, but now I find it greasy and disgusting. It actually usually makes me a bit nauseous. Luckily it’s my group’s turn, so we choose to do Dominos or some tasty alternative. Other than yummy pizza, it’s a normal work night for me.

Have a great Wednesday all!

That last birthday hit you pretty hard huh?

Lol I meant when Costco first started doing the pizza thing. I just remember it being better than it is these days.
Have a good day Chris and enjoy Pizza Night
Thanks Dave!
Bay Rum and Pizza for the win! Arrrrrrr!
Yea buddy...er, I mean matey!
You can't go wrong with Bay Rum! I usually use Bay Rum a couple of times a week.

First it's greasy pizza bothering your stomach, then you find yourself yelling at kids to get off your front grass
I usually try to hit the bay run at least once a week, the last couple I’ve missed out though.

And I’ve got a fence around my entire yard, so if there’s kids in it that aren’t mine, Yea there’s gonna be an issue 🧐

Sorry it didn't come through, Chris. Sounds as though they aren't quite sure what they want.
Thanks Bruce! It’s possible, but I won’t hold it against them. They could just be looking for the last piece of the puzzle that makes the whole thing click, and I wasn’t it.

The church/minister thing is much more of a relationship than job. Candidating is like dating. Think about it this way, You guys just went out a few times, had a few laughs but just not meant to be married.

See! Awkward for me since I’m 16 years married to my first girlfriend after 5 years dating...:cautious:

Shave #290 (Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: RR .68 GC, Astra SP blade, Yaqi SF synth brush, CBL 50 SoV soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Speick AS, and Fine Clean Vetiver AS to finish!

It’s show time!

Refreshing shower n shave this morning. I’ve got a tub of Chris’ Vetiver incoming, so I can use this 50 Shades of Vetiver soap demo tub with a bit more abandon. Great shave overall! On a sad note though, I squeezed out the last sprays of my Fine Clean Vetiver sampler...such good stuff, don’t know when I’ll be able to see it again. I think I’d much rather have a nice Vetiver cologne before I tried to find the Fine, we’ll see.

Finished up my teaching yesterday. Off to dance like a monkey in front of the senior bible study! They’ve heard it all before but are gracious enough to listen to me yap on anyway. Gives some of them a good chance for a mid morning nap. :ROFLMAO:

Have a great Thursday all!
