Now wait a minute here. I know I am behind on videos. But two??? I guess I need to figure that out. I guess i'll go block 3 hours to watch Chris videos.

Shave #134 (287 Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, RR Game Changer .68, Bic Chrome Platinum, RR Big Bruce synth brush, A&E Revolution soap, Thayers Medicated, and Proraso Red AS to finish!

Ok shave today, some irritation and razor burn lingering. I think it was from being a bit heavy handed or these Bic blades.

Soap certainly did it’s best. I’ll reiterate again, very thirsty soap. Great slickness and residual slickness (with a touch of water). It’s the kind of soap base that leaves good stuff behind. Still leaning toward elite status right now, but not calling it yet.

This Revolution scent is kind of meh pleasant, not particularly one I’d have to have. Still a ton left over from the half sample I smeared out; I had no hesitations putting it in my Puke Tub.

Back to work today. It’s going to be another full week and busy weekend. Whatever this cough is that’s going around, it’s still sticking around our house too. Doesn’t feel like a sickness of any type, just something air/allergy related.

Still a lot left to do on my James 1 teaching and a lunch meeting in a couple of hours before work.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Shave #135 (288 Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade, RR Game Changer .68, Bic Chrome Platinum, RR Big Bruce synth brush, A&E Novelist soap, Thayers Medicated, and Paul Sebastian AS to finish!

Yep, today’s shave confirmed it, the Bic blade has got to go; it is not a smooth finisher. Luckily this was my last one.

Yesterday’s irritation calmed down quickly after an extra dose of witch hazel. Sadly, not as bad, but still irritation during today’s shave; too much scraping. Swapping Bic out later. Shave result was good otherwise.

First use of A&E Novelist. Slightly more pronounced notes than Revolution. It’s a very sweet scent; I also get some kind of leather and a tobacco note popped up a little. The soap is definitely top of tier 1; I don’t know what it is, but still hesitating on calling it elite.

No real date morning this week, the Mrs. has and early PT appointment. So I grabbed coffee and a bite of breakfast to share after taking the kids to school, brought it home, we were able to sit together for about 10 minutes then she was off for the appointment and work. She more often thrives on full schedules...I hate it (full schedules).

Hopefully finishing up my James 1 study by the end of the night. Also hoping this cough and slightly sore throat improve before I have to give the study tomorrow.

Work should be relaxed today. It’s the last regular meeting of study groups and kid’s nights through summer break. So Wednesday shifts are looking pretty chill for a while.

Have a great Wednesday all!

It was my last one out of a sampler, not really going to fuss over it.

I’ve found the GC to be a fair enough judge of blades. It works with just about anything.

WOW! Did I get behind on your Journal. I had that reaction to A&E soaps also. I like them more than a lot of soaps...and I think they are at the very top of Tier 1. But I am just not ready to call them Elite. Though some of the scents push it very close to it!
