If you have to do something...

Lemme just say I thought mine were still fine. Prescription-wise they are still pretty spot on and the frames have no major damage...but the missus wants me to get new frames, so we know how that goes...
Yeah my prescription keeps coming back as barely different. I do have trouble sometimes seeing distance. If I close my right or left eye, that other eye sees it fine but together it is blurred. Getting serious as it's been affecting my bingo searches.Gonna ask about that next time I go for an exam.....

@GearNoir and @Dave in KY not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but check out Warby Parker for glasses. If you go with standard lenses and plastic frames they run $95 a pair. If you need progressive lenses they are a little more, but they’re the cheapest glasses I’ve ever come across. Pretty cool styles to pick from, and I beleive for every pair purchased they also donate a pair.

Yes, we actually have a small branch in the Sacramento area I think, but this one doesn’t do exams as far as I know. Hopefully they can point me in the right direction. Their donation program is a good thing.

I actually go to another doctor for my exams and buy my glasses through Warby Parker. I just get my prescription from my doctor after the exam and take it with me.

Yea...I haven’t been to any doctors (General practice, dentists, or optometrists) for anything besides a pre-work wellness check in over a decade lol...

I had transitions with my last pair (Think that's right @GearNoir ;)) I want them again with next pair that will cost me because you have to upgrade lens material they say with the bi-focals to do it..............

BOOTLEGGER BAY RUM FOR THE WIN!!!!

Damn postal service. They probably could have shipped it to any of the other 48 states and saved money and time.

Are you saying that there are only 49 states? Are are you excluding California because it doesn't seem logical that it would get lost in your home state? Sir...it's the postal service...logic has nothing to do with it! 🤪

Another option with the glasses is Zenni online. My wife purchased a pair a while back and was able to get them for under a hundo. Just trying to give you more options.

And Chris...I know you have some huge priorities in your life...but you are getting to the age where you will need more frequent check-ups from the doc. Not judging or scolding...just advising...a good check-up every now and then is a good idea to keep you around a lot longer.

Thanks Don!

I said 48 because there was the place it was headed and the place it was supposed to be to take into account :p

I know I’ve been a bad boy when it comes to seeing the doc. Thanks for telling it true! It’s something it do have to adjust to doing very soon.

Nothing but love for you brother!

Shave #88 (273 Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS folding, Feather Pro blade (6), RR Game Changer .68, Rapira blade (6), Yaqi SF synth, CBL Barbershop soap, generic witch hazel, and Fine American Blend AS to finish!

I had all I can stands and I can’t stands no more! I wanted a barbershop shave stat...and it had to be finished with a truckload of Fine AB! So that’s exactly what I did!

Really great shave this morning. Hard to complain when you have products like these to work with! CBL...elite soap pulled its weight today, even with some good amount of “chasing the babies” as Rich puts it; almost not alum sting at all. To cap the shave, I blasted myself with what was left of my Fine AB sample...so nice!

Long day at church today, service this morning (we’re doing an all church worship where we encourage all 3 normal services to show up to today’s single service in the large Sanctuary). There will be a huge bbq and lunch afterward, then I have a few meetings to attend. Hoping to get a couple chores done today and a little more of my teaching done for Thursday morning.

Having a really fun time reliving the COD4 memories! RDO is proving a bit of a challenge, between the upkeeps, and inflated economy, but getting some good items provides a nice goal setting, even if it’s a bit grindy.

Everything incoming appears to still be on schedule, I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds!

Have a blessed Sunday all!
