If you have to do something...

I have some video catch up to do, but clearly I missed a good one lol.

RDR2 apparently is the never ending game. A buddy of mine completed the story missions and now spends his time hunting for new animal pelts and playing poker haha.

Shave #72 (267 Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: Ikon El Jefe, Feather Pro blade (11), Gillette Slim Adjustable, Astra SP blade (11), RR Big Bruce synth, Cella soap, generic witch hazel, Lucky Tiger AS, and Old Spice AS (modern) to finish!

Was up early today so that the missus could have her midweek sleep in. Got the kids off to school then beeline it back for home for the freshening up and shave. Not bad today, a little irritation on the upper corners of the lips. Need to dial the Slim back down. It’s only on setting 3 but it’s feeling really harsh in some spots, I’m really having to ride the cap. That extra mm difference, or whatever it is, from the Fat Boy’s design really makes a huge difference. I’m on the fence right now as to what to do with it, I just don’t pick it up often or enjoy the shave as much. If I had been smart, I should have just put out the little extra for a second Fat Boy...

In fact, I’m considering a little razor clearing, just to off the ones I don’t use much. I’d prefer a small rotation of at least one of each razor type and ones used often. This clearing may include my SRs and strop honestly. I just don’t reach for them at all, the Feather SS suits me just fine. It’s not many razors overall, but it might give me a meager starting fund for something else.

Super busy work shift yesterday, today won’t be quite as bad thankfully!

Have a great Wednesday all!

Nice start to the day! Seems like a lot of folk are in purge mode lately.
Thanks Tim. For me it’s just trying to stay realistic. The acquisition is a glorious thing, the idea of being the guy with hundreds of soaps, razors, and brushes is tantalizing - but I feel the need to temper my tendency to excesses.

I had 2 slims. 1 shaved awesome and the other a delta echo cubano colors just seemed rough to me. Sold it and kept the original finish that shaved great. There was a change 1 year and forget when. That may be the issue or alignment or.............?? I may get a fatboy eventually but love my birth year slim which shaves great. Sounds like a solid plan to sell what's not used and get what will be used regularly.

Interesting! If you find out when, let me know. Mine’s an L4 I think. The curvature of the head just doesn’t seem to fit the setting of the blade well so I have to ride the cap quite a bit. It adjusts well though. I wouldn’t know if it was off settings or not, but I bought it from a guy I consider trustworthy.

The Great Purge Of ‘19!!!! Let me know when you make a decision on what you’re letting go of.

Will do! :ROFLMAO:
A little irritation never hurt anyone...oh...wait... 🤪

Love the old spice finish!

Thanks Don!

I too tend to keep my rotation on the smaller side partly for space and partly because if i use it i like it a lot and if i don't like it i tend to let it go... normally so i can try something else lol

Great, solid shave today; 95%+ BBS with little irritation. Decided to switch out the Slim for the beloved Fatboy, it did not disappoint!

Was considering doing a TSC 1st Anniversary video for tomorrow, but with all that needs to be done to get us out the door and on our way to the weekend getaway, I don’t think I’ll have time.

Last day of work for the week! :)

Have a great Thursday all!

Blasphemer!!!! LOL

Very nice TSC Anniversary shave today! I attempted to make the theme a progression in scents To represent the change over the last year. Worked out pretty nicely if I do say so myself!

Headed out on the road soon. The travel kit is packed with a Fat Handled Prewar Tech, Yaqi SF synth, Cattie’s Bubbles Un Jour Gris, witch hazel, and Fine Platinum AS & EdT.

Have a great Friday folks!
