If you have to do something...

At what point would your beard start growing back during the shave?

This would turn onto Chris' perpetual shave.

Still enjoying Skyrim and No Man’s Sky (mostly Skyrim). I’m still fairly low level, but I feel like there’s a good balance in Skyrim of easy enemies and then areas that are a good challenge. The story is fun too; great bits of lore and storytelling that I liked from Morrowind. Plenty of side quests to get lost in!

I know I'm behind (as usual....) but just wanted to rub it in a little what you could have with Skyrim on PC over console.

Nice graphics, I just don’t have an up to date rig anymore, and I don’t think I ever will again sadly. The PS4 will have to do! A couple days ago I spent probably a couple hours just running around, exploring every nook and cranny I could, and looking for places I could fast travel back to later. Pretty amazing the exportable area available! It feels only a tad smaller than I remember Morrowind being. The SE version came with all the DLC too so I’ve dug into those a little too. It certainly helped picking up Frea as a traveling buddy as early as I did! I’d be struggling in some parts otherwise!

Still hinting here and there to the missus that RDR2 would be a nice buy...no hook so far.

What?!? You don't think I look pretty with my makeup and hair did?

I always liked Jenassa for an early vanilla companion if I use one at all. She's the dunmer in the drunken huntsman in whiterun. Costs 500 to hire her, but I usually play as a stealthy assassin type character and she fits that very well being primarily an archer. For a tank type follower Uthgerd in the bannered mare in whiterun can be convinced to follow just by beating her in a fist fight. She's a heavy armor all around combat follower.

Both are pretty easy to get early on without having to do a lot of the quests or find a lot of places.
Eola is a good sneak follower too if you do the taste of death quest in Markarth. Go inside the Jarls hall and take a left to the hall of the dead and talk to brother Valerius to start it. She's a pretty powerful companion if you don't mind becoming a cannibal.

Shave #31 of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (20?), Gillette Toggle, Personna Platinum Chrome blade (?), RR Big Bruce synth, SS Citrus & Bay soap, generic witch hazel, and Bootlegger’s Bay Rum AS to finish!

Good shave today after dropping folks off, cleaning up the hair, and showering. Just a little irritation and dryness on the chin, user scrapage error.

I did have some great passes with the Feather. Only one little slice on the jaw line that closed quickly. Came in a bit to steep on a stroke and touch was not as light as I thought in that moment I guess.

Ramping up for the weekend at work. It’s going to be a busy one - basketball games, a large memorial, a baby shower, services, and more.

The missus had her shoulder check up yesterday afternoon. A number of her restrictions have been lightened. She can start testing how it feels to drive on Monday, but she has to keep to short trips. She can keep her arm out of the sling now in places she won’t get jostled (ie - home), can ween herself more off the meds, and can very carefully and slowly begin to work her arm a bit (with help of course). PT begins in about a week. Not everything she was hoping to hear, but it’s a step forward!

Have a great Thursday all!

Glad to hear the wife is healing up well. Congrats on finishing out the month without a missed shave.

Shave #32 of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (1), Gillette Toggle, Astra SP blade (1), RR Big Bruce synth, LNHC Coconut Oud soap, generic witch hazel, and RR The Stallion AS to finish!

Decent oud shave today! I didn’t quite load enough, so the lather was a bit thin, but it all worked out in the end! No nicks or weepers, only a tab bit of irritation.

Committing to trying to use the same blades for the entire month. Both were a tad rough today, but in general that’s expected for these blades the first time or two out. Almost also personally committed to a month of Cella shaves just to work the puck down on something, anything. I decided in the last minute not to though. At least not today!

Ya’ll have a great Friday. FGIF!

Nice quick entry today. Cella haven't seen that tossed around in awhile. I 3017ed some a few years back but never replaced it.

Thanks! I do enjoy a decent Italian almond soap. Between Cella and Vito’s, I’ll be covered for a while!

Nice nice quick entry! What?! A whole month of one soap? I’m about there now with the GTB.

Still a possibility, we’ll see. I need to make some progress on my soaps or I won’t see a new one come in for a while if the missus has anything to say about it.

I hear that everytime something new shows up at the house. The wife always asks why I can't use up what I have before I order more...

I used Cella just once. I actually really liked it...a lot. Just never picked up a brick! Anyway...hope the month long soap goes well. I have often thought about doing something like that...but I always end up changing my mind!

The answer is "Variety" like your shoes or purses or insert whatever is applicable

Thanks Don! I think I’m going to go with it for a while, sans Sundays. We’ll see how long it goes. If I get bored, I may just put it on hold a bit.

Shave #33 of 2019:

Gear: Feather AC SS, Feather Pro blade (2), Gillette Toggle, Astra SP blade (2), RR Big Bruce synth, Cella soap, generic witch hazel, and Paul Sebastian AS to finish!

Day 2 of the One Month, One Blade challenge. Everything smoothed out a little today; I dropped the Toggle down to setting 4 to help with that, and the Feather Pro just naturally smooths out fairly quickly.

I also started, I guess I’ll call it, the Faux 3017 with the Cella. Of course I get an immediate day off tomorrow, Sundays being free choice day and all, lol. I’ll just continue with the Cella otherwise until I get tired of it. Then I’ll put it aside for a bit, then come back to it. I’ll be blooming it every shave and loading relatively hatefully so I can make a sizable dent at least. I’ve had this one over a year already.

Today is my long, late day at work for the week. Tons of things going on, plus services and meetings to prepare the campus for tomorrow. Anxious for this day to be over.

Last night/early morning we had a howler of a storm blow through - high winds, decent downpour. Glad we still have some rain coming through! We need it!

Have a relaxing Saturday all!

Shave #28 of 2019:

Gear: Gillette Toggle, Assured blade (4), Yaqi SF synth, 3 soap mix (CBL Barbershop, AOS Sandalwood, and Catie’s Bubbles La Rose du Mechant), generic witch hazel, and Stirling Vanilla & Sandalwood to finish!

If you are watching along or reading this - Bruce (Greybeard), Chris (the CBL variety), and Dave (the Xeno persuasion) are named for the 3 soap, 1 bowl call out!

Just watched this tonight. Assured razor challenge accepted. I've given participants a boatload of grief, so I feel obligated to go Full-On Kamikaze. Thoughts and prayers greatly appreciated.
