I drive for a living so 500 miles is no big deal. But, Ive never driven very far for shave goods. Drove to Vic's house once for honing practice and that was around 100 miles each way.
BTW, my most expensive razor was also from Alfredo. 250 for a first gen Philli. But you know it was right!

i drove about an hour away to pick up a huge chunk of coticule.. made it a family trip! to some "premium" outlets and a doner kebab/pub garden that were just a bit farther.
For his work, it’s worth every penny!

Shave Nation and Merz are both around an hour drive from our house here in Chicagoland. I've gone to do local pickups at Shave Nation twice now. Haven't been to Merz in years but loved living a mere 3 L stops away back when we lived downtown.

I think it would partially depend upon which direction I would be driving. If it was through interesting, picturesque countryside, I'd be willing to drive a couple hours each way.

Yeah, you're quite right, ....a musical instrument is an entirely different thing altogether!I once drove four hours one way to pick up a bass guitar I wanted. Can’t imagine doing that for shaving gear though.
