Respect! Especially knowing your Wecks.... got any Weck SE razors? Those are among my favorite razors of all time.

Welcome to The Cadre!

Weck Sextoblades.jpg

They are unforgiving mistresses, especially without the blade guards. The one on the right is a medical use version which I thought was pretty cool. You can spot the caduceus at the top of the scales. @Spider @NurseDave

The one on the right is a medical use version
Yep, I have a couple of those. In both hair shaper and Sextoblade. I think I have around 20 different Wecks. I love them.
I can use almost any shavette other than that one.
The medical one does seem to be a bit more aggressive, but I think it mainly has to do with the weight of the scales. I've always got along better with the lighter scales. So much that I think I even prefer to use the hair shapers rather than the Sextos.
I think it’s the hair shaper blades were limited to. They’re a bit like GEM blades IMO, which are also a bit tough to get along with.
Yeah, they only take hair shapers, which you are very limited in choices. And in my opinion, if you're not using Personnas or Fromms, then there's no point.
The Kismet blades might be the way to go,
I've not heard of that brand before. But it's been several years since I've shopped blades.

Hello Everyone,
New to the forum. Been wetshaving w/ DE's and SR's for about 5+ years now. Was more active in the community on Instagram before under the name ShavingLikeYouMeanIt but haven't logged on for quite some time having stepped away for a while. Looking to make some new friends and learn a few things.

Thanks!
Welcome aboard. IMO, TSC is the best shaving forum around. I see you mentioned travels in your name. I like to travel too. Just today I traveled to the grocery store, which is a good 15 minutes away, in another town and everything. It was cool - they speak the same language over there. Among other items, I picked up a couple of pastries to sustain me on the long drive back home. I enjoyed the sour cream doughnut en route, and saved the bear claw for my decaf coffee at home. 👍
