Greetings from Wausau, WI

@johnnypipe welcome to the forum and glad you could join us! We are a sharing bunch, so if you have any questions or just want to ham it up, by all means!

What are your favorite shaving items?

I enjoy vintage soaps and razors myself.

Welcome @johnnypipe ! Glad you could join in!

What are some of your favorite bits of traditional shaving hardware and software right now?
Thanks. At one time in my life I had over 60 brushes, 40 razors, and at least 50 different soaps. Now at my age I have two razors. A Feather AS-D2 double edge and a Feather Artist Club DX Kamasori. I use ASTRA blades for the AS-D2 and Feather Pro Blades for the DX. As for as soaps, D.R. Harris Arlington cream, Taylor original cream, Speick cream and stick, MWF, and Poraso Green. I use after shaves and balms of the soap brands, plus I have 3 bottles left of the original Floid Blue. I have six brushes, one badger, one boar, and 4 synthetics. I have been wet shaving since I was 15 and I am now 76. And fyi, my site name of johnnypipe is because my name is Johnny and I smoke a pipe.

Welcome to The Cadre, and your new home in the Wet Shaving community! Good to have you here. Lots of amazing people here so anything you want to know, or need to ask, we're here for you!

Lots to see, read, and get involved with here. We're much more than just a wet shaving forum. I'm here for the camaraderie more than anything else. We have so much fun. In addition to the traditional SOTD type posts, we also have a lot of Shave VLOGers, we have a section of Shaving Journals, host bi-weekly Zoom Calls, play Forum Bingo bi-monthly, bi-monthly “fantasy” sumo contest, host an annual Holiday Gift and Card exchange, and so much more.

Aside from Shaving, we’re also into pipes, cigars, coffee, watches, guns, cars, astronomy, fitness, food, alcohol, pets, beekeeping, gardening, music, movies, and just about any other hobby out there. If you don’t see a thread already about a hobby you’re interested in…. start one!

All these activities make us more than just a Forum or Wet Shaving Community. We’re a Brotherhood, a Family, or simply put: The Cadre! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
