With Fine, the production run of everything in their "legacy" base is kaputski. It will be interesting to see how their new base )and scents?) stack up.

Wonder what happened. They seemed to intimate that it was just the soap base changing...they must have decided to start fresh I guess.

The physical factory shut down (see Post-1) and they are working with someone else to produce a new base.

Yes, I meant I wonder what facilitated the decision to start discontinuing scents. I didn’t get the impression they were going to do that from the initial announcement of the factory close, just that the old soap base (not the scents) was going bye-bye. I must have misunderstood.

I'm not sure that they're discontinuing scents per se; but rather everything in the "classic" base is out of production. I have not seen any word on when their new base will be available and what scents there will be. All I am aware of is that it is said to be a softer base.
thats what i heard also.. I think i saw somewhere that they were hoping to bring some of the scents back that were really popular into the new base.

Having trouble finding it, but I read something about December 2020 initial release with the remainder of the scents in Q1 2021?
Obviously, that didn't happen. No site, facebook, etc updates since the announcement either. Wonder if there's problems with the initial selection of a base / production partner?
Glad I still have a lot of the Lavender pour homme left. Looks like this wait could be longer than expected. [emoji2369]

I got an email from Fine today that officially says Fresh Vetiver, Green Vetiver, Santal Absolute, and Lavender Pour Homme are all discontinued. This includes the aftershaves.

Akk! I better make my LPH last, then. Only 4-5 ounces left. Not sure it's worth buying a backup, as it'll probably loose scent before I get through what I got.
Ooh well, I will have to really enjoy what I got as long as I have it.
The Santal Absolute is one of my faves as well. Glad I bought several pucks when the price was discounted back in November / December.I am incredibly disappointed that Green Vetiver and Santal Absolute are both discontinued. Those are my two favorite scents from Fine.
